Overview

Bath Mind has extensive experience within the field of mental health training and is recognised as a leading provider of mental health-related training in Bath and North East Somerset.


The charity develops and delivers high-quality training services, including courses, workshops, and talks, both online and in-person. The programmes cater to individuals and voluntary, statutory and private sector organisations locally (and nationally) with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.

Overview

Bath Mind delivers a number of mental health services to residents of Bath and North East Somerset. The charity believes that nobody should face a mental health problem alone and that everyone with, or at risk of, mental ill health has somewhere to turn to for information, advice and support.

How to access

Bath Mind accepts self-referrals for many of their services from people aged 16 and over. They also welcome referals from professionals such as Social Services, Mental Health Teams, General Practitioners, hospitals, other voluntary sector organisations, families and carers. 

Overview

Bath Mind are part of a joint project with Citizens Advice Bath & NE Somerset, advising clients on complex benefit problems.

What we do

Clients are advised by our Bath Mind's caseworker, who can:

  • Identify what benefits they can claim 
  • Maximise income via better off calculations 
  • Fill in benefit forms 
  • Challenge decisions 
  • Negotiate with DWP, including Job Centre 
  • Appeal decisions
